We currently have a vacancyfor a Programme Procurement Leader role within our ePowertrain division.

This role is adding valueby having full ownership of the procurement of the complete BOM of a programmefrom C to D phase.

Anticipating specific requirements for new programmes. Withsupport from the commodity team, select and manage suppliers to ensure strictadherence to Programme targets (Quality, Cost, Delivery). Monitor and reportKPI.

Key Responsibilities

The Programme ProcurementLeader willbe required to execute the following responsibilities :

Product Specification

  • Contribute to thetechnical product concept / specification offered to the customer
  • Participate in theprogram team from initial concept stage (Pre-RFQA)
  • Involve expertsuppliers at the Pre-RFQA phase as required
  • Manage thecommunication between Programme team and Suppliers regarding Engineering Changerequests
  • Supplier selection

  • Run Strategic SourcingReview in conjunction with the commodity team to define potential supplierselection panel required to support the programme, considering suppliertechnology, geographical location, target costs
  • Send RFQ to selectedsuppliers on the panel, consolidate detailed responses according to the standardtools and processes
  • Review supplier RFQresponses in conjunction with commodity team and Programme Purchasing Manager
  • Perform negotiationsand organize Sourcing Nomination meetings
  • Agree final supplierselection with commodity team
  • Ensure complete legaldocumentation produced, sign off is correct and ensure controlled storage ofall related documents
  • Manage directedsuppliers under a clear RASI when requested and agreed with customers
  • Drive and reportperformance
  • Monitor review andmanage programme purchasing performance v target costs (parts, tools andprototypes)
  • Continue to monitor andmanage supplier performance during the programme phase, including costs,quality and delivery
  • Ensure necessary stagegate reviews are held within the programme management framework
  • Monitor and reviewquality during pilot programme phase
  • APQP status report
  • Maintain list of openpoints and take appropriate action to resolve
  • Ensure and track theimplementation of corrective actions for any deviation
  • Assure a flawlesslaunch, PPAP on time, ramp up information confirmed by suppliers
  • Ensure the effectivetransfer of the program to the plant buyer
  • C0 / Go to Market (ifneeded)

  • Prepare the StrategicSourcing Reviews (SSR) during acquisition phase to pre-select key strategicsuppliers and confirm targeted sourcing locations
  • Support make or buyinvestigations related to new programs
  • Align costing methodsto project priority level : full RFQ costing versus surrogate costingmethodologies
  • Develop and maintain areview process of all program quotations to ensure accurate application oflessons-learned to improve costing methods and data
  • Work closely withinternal Engineering, Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Financial personnelin order to compile, disseminate and make recommendations for cost andinvestment related information for direct materials
  • Prepares and presentsrelevant data validating Purchasing cost assumptions before the program isquoted to the customer. Prepares written reports, summarizes findings, andmakes recommendations, as appropriate
  • Coordinates functionalteams to drive design to cost workshops and evaluates cost impacts of designalternatives
  • Identifies costreduction opportunities and participates in undertake component teardown andother benchmarking activities
  • Ensure that developmentcontracts are signed with expert suppliers before the start of any work withsuppliers
  • Supports VA / VEactivities to quantify / validate the benefit analysis and adopt in new programs,as appropriate
  • Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree inengineering with a specialization in international Purchasing or Commercialwould bedesirable
  • Fluent in English, withan international mind set
  • Minimum 5 years’experience as Program, Commodity or Plant PUR Buyer in an industrial environment
  • Ability to work in amatrix organisation
  • Background or workingexperience in Power electronics, electromobility, EMS projects is anadvantage
