As Technical Product Owner for our Sports Data Platform (SDP), you are responsible for one of the key components in Better Collective’s overall service architecture.
The vision for the SDP is to be the central hub for managing all sports data that we consume in the group. It is used to unify the structure of our sports data, through the normalization and the mapping of feeds coming from different providers.
Ultimately, the SDP provides feeds to power front-end applications and components that we use on sites across the World.
The SDP is being maintained and developed by a dedicated scrum team based in Lodz, Poland. Your role will be to understand and translate the needs of the business into a vision for this service and to communicate this clearly to the team, releasing features in iterative increments.
While the developers in the team are in charge of determining the best architecture and technical approach for this job, you should be ready to understand their lingo and take part in some technical discussions.
The primary customers of the SDP are typically front-end developers working in other teams within Better Collective, so it is fair to say that this role is for a technically-minded person, although prior coding experience is not required.
We prefer face-to-face communication whenever possible, but you can also expect to use Jira, Slack, and Google Hangout a lot in your daily routine.
We are looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible and we accept applications continuously until we find the right match.
We will process your application quickly and get back to you.
While applying, share with us your CV where we can find information about your past / current experience and visit open-access spaces where you keep your public projects (GitHub link, etc.)
