What you'll do

The Indirect Tax Manager will support all aspects of the Indirect Tax function, reporting directly to the Indirect Tax Sr.

Manager. This role will include Global VAT compliance, U.S. indirect tax compliance, monthly account reconciliations, indirect tax planning and other special projects.

The Manager of Indirect Tax will work closely with other members of the Tax Department and will have opportunities to assist with various tax projects to develop tax technical skills in this continuously changing global tax landscape.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Assist with preparation / review of monthly, semi-annual, and quarterly indirect tax calculations.
  • Provide and maintain data files supporting monthly revenue and taxes.
  • Assists in month-end close, prepares journal entries, and schedules tax payments.
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations in accordance with SOX compliance.
  • Support global supply chain team with cross border VAT and customs issues.
  • Prepares written communication Indirect Tax issues (i.e., refund claims, needed exemption forms, etc.)
  • Serve as intra-company point of contact for all questions related to indirect taxes, such as company requests for tax exemption status.
  • Provides customer service to other teams as needed.
  • Evaluates and recommends improvement to current methodology used to collect and report data for filings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues and tax implications
  • Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Proficient Excel Skills
  • 5+ years of tax experience focused on international indirect tax
  • You have a detailed understanding of common principles of international indirect tax and ability to apply them to the business and detailed exposure to international indirect taxation, country-specific or multi-jurisdictional international indirect tax consulting and international indirect tax compliance
  • Familiarity with e-services sales taxation trends and the international tax implications
  • Preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Masters in Taxation or similar is a plus
  • Strong tax technical understanding of and experience with contingencies (ASC 450)
  • Experience with the internet and software industries
  • Experience with Avalara and Netsuite a plus
