The Role : The Tactical Buyer manages on a daily basis, procurement requests coming from Xchanging Customer (From 10.000 USD to 100.000 USD).
The Tactical Buyer support the Sourcing Manager in the management of the spend addressed by Xchanging on behalf of the Customer and the development of sustainable and innovative supply strategies.
The Tactical Buyer will be able to work in a customer facing environment when required.
Key Accountabilities :
Manage Purchasing Requests according to Service Levels agreed with Customer
Manage sourcing projects from proposal development to recommended supplier selection and final negotiation of pricing
Create strong and close relationship with local Customer stakeholders for higher service delivery fluidity via good local interaction including Face-to-Face meeting
Negotiate Tactical sourcing requirements on behalf of the Customer within your defined spend remit assigned by the Helpdesk and Sourcing Managers
Own and deliver Savings; including financial reporting to meet the business objectives / targets
Research and source appropriate suppliers to deliver against Customer requirements
Drive Compliance within your area of responsibility, increasing the use of preferred suppliers where possible
Lead re-education and advise customers and stakeholders on total procurement activities from requisition to payment within defined commodities, highlighting any opportunities to improve workflow and drive adherence to Customer procurement policies
Liaise with the Spend Analysts to undertake monthly spend analytics within managed categories of scope to identify opportunities and tactical initiatives
Manage administrative activities enabling better compliance to processes
Contribute to the development of a Supplier Network solution ie Preferred Supplier List
Comply with all relevant XPS sourcing methodology & guidelines as well as with specific customer processes
Skills, Experience & Qualifications :
Language Specific : Portuguese and English, both fluent

Experience :
The ideal candidate will have between 2 & 5 years’ experience and relevant further education qualification and CIPS qualified if not working towards CIPS.
Ideally he should have experience of working in a results driven Procurement role and be capable of working in a customer facing environment.
