About the Role
The Cloudflare network currently spans 200+ cities in 100+ countries, with even more network devices generating a tremendous amount of data about the network.
This data is used for a number of different purposes, such as monitoring the state of the network or understanding where and how packets are routed.
As a software engineer on the Network Data team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems that collect and process data from all these network devices.
Examples of software systems that you’ll be working with include :
You will participate in all stages of the software enable development lifecycle, from designing and documenting systems, to writing code and automated tests, to planning, managing, and monitoring production software deployments.
You will work with a wide range of technologies and programming languages, including Go, Rust, Python, ClickHouse, Kafka, Salt, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Kubernetes, and more.
