The team you’ll be part of
Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services.
It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit.
This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.
What you will learn and contribute to
At CNS we are seeking a Telecommunication Solutions Support Engineer (Cloud & Linux) who has and advance french language knowledge to embrace global projects (Cloud and 5G) and join our global team based in Amadora (now working in a hybrid working from home model).
As a Support Engineer (Cloud & Linux) your main responsibility is to carry out remote support activities to solve clients cases through applying your technical knowledge and proactive approach.
In addition, you will be working closely with developing and integration teams in order to deliver customized solutions to our multinational clients.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and further develop your knowledge ( 5G, cloud architecture etc...).
As part of our team, you will :
Perform technical tasks for customer projects according to project plan
Technical documentation - Writing MoPs, release notes etc
Work with the developing team and the integration team to deliver the customized solutions
Work with the support team to deliver the support to the customized solutions
Manage the changes in the network to allow integration with other network systems
Implement new features / technology in the network
Manage the network configuration (Installation, commissioning)
Manage and support the Cloud environment of the network
Supporting 24*7 on call emergency rota (when applicable)
Your skills and experience
Good knowledge of Linux commands, processes and scripting
Knowledge in Postgres / Oracle / Informix / MySql Databases
Programming knowledge in Perl / Shell
Knowledge of IP and telecommunication networks
Trace & log file analysis tools (Wireshark / AWK / KSAR / SoapUI)
Knowledge on Cloud solutions (Openstack and VMWare)
Fluent in French and English (written and spoken) as you will be liasing with french speaking clients.
Degree in Telecommunications, IT or related field
Intermediate Technical knowledge on mobile networks
Problem Solving & Decision Making
Good logical and analytical understanding Team player with good interpersonal skills
Demonstrate adaptability & quick learning ability
It would be nice if you also had :
Good understanding of System dependencies & dimensioning for Software Applications performance and availability
