Ferring TechOps IT Infrastructure is a newly established team (March 2022) with the overall responsibility to define, pilot, implement, and eventually operate a new greenfield industry best-practice TechOps IT infrastructure.
The TechOps Infrastructure team is part of the Corporate Infrastructure & Security organization in Global IT, with team members primarily working out of the Global IT headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark and out of Lisbon, Portugal.
The team consists of highly skilled and experienced individuals who thrives in a team setting and wants to succeed around the same mission.
Your New Role
The Lead Architect TechOps IT Infrastructure is responsible for contributing to the direction of the architectural runway, maintenance of the design and implementation of architecture to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities will include preparing engagement estimates, leading workshops and lead the technical tracks e.g., migration teams and integration teams.
Setting and maintaining the enterprise architecture of the organization within the area of TechOps Infrastructure, including common infrastructure towers such as connectivity, hosting, cloud, and security.
Improving information management capability through an understanding of evolving business needs, technology capabilities across different technology towers.
Contributing to the development of policies, standards and guidelines directing the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
Investigating, advising, designing, and documenting the architecture and requirements for complex solutions based on business needs (e.
g., functions, processes, information, systems, engineering, technical tool / processes, performance, and security).
Creating viable specifications for changing / improving any aspect of the enterprise architecture within the TechOps landscape and approve (or reject) non-standard changes.
Monitoring the supplier implementation of TechOps architecture, identifying, and managing resolution of any issues during service development, implementation and improvements.
Leading technical subject matters experts and solution architects to enable and drive consistency across technology architectures.
Delivering architecture artifacts, including reference architectures, diagrams, information models etc.
Working with business partners to analyze strategy and trends to define the requirements, principles, and models that guide technology decisions.
Communicating and enforcing technology standards.
Understanding industry trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies.
Developing roadmaps to fulfil business ambitions
Defining high-level migration plans to address gaps in current state
Overseeing and facilitating the evaluation, risk assessment, selection, and design of hardware and software technology and product standards
What you’ll need to succeed
University degree or equivalent in information systems.
8+ years relevant work experience as a lead solutions architect within the infrastructure and security domain, having also gained business architecture experience.
Experience in working with external IT service providers and in vendor management.
A good understanding of API architecture and integration.
A good understanding of Networks, Hosting, Cloud,.
Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow is a plus).
Experience with defining roadmaps and standards.
Decomposing business request into meaningful capabilities and processes.
Experience in industry regulations (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) is an advantage.
Knowledge with Agile Scrum methodology or working within a Safe Framework.
Experience working within regulated industries.
Excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal and communication skills and experience working in an international team across locations and time-zones
Fluency in English.
