Why we need you :

As part of our current plans for rapid expansion, we are seeking a Release Project Manager to manage, and report upon, the progress of project requirements across multiple Agile teams.

Strong knowledge and experience in the disciplines of Software Development and Quality Assurance are essential.

You will join the Engineering Department with a strong DevOps, and Release cadence working across a number of agile teams, across multiple locations.

What you will do :

You will ensure that the overall Agile effort is operating well and dovetails with the project delivery requirements coming from the business.

You will manage the expectations of the business, Release to Release, while ensuring that the work is on strategy, delivering in the release as planned as required by the business.

  • As part of this role you will be responsible for the following;
  • Operate, and report upon, the Global Shares Release planning process.
  • Manage competing priorities for the Release cycle, balancing long and term issues bug fixes versus features.
  • Support team goals and coordinates activities with other teams
  • Support Product Owner in the backlog management
  • Attend regular team meetings, including daily stand-up, Iteration planning, team demo, and retrospective iteration.
  • Facilitate the Global Shares Centralised Sprint Planning process, and assisting in the evolution towards full a Scaled Agile process.
  • Investigate complex issues of production delivery, run the root cause analysis.
  • What you have :

  • Experience of working in a complex project environment with frequent releases serving multiple customers
  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • Certification, e.g. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I)
  • Previous career experience as a Software Engineer an advantage, particularly in .Net
  • Planning and negotiation skills : A recognised Project Management certification would be an advantage.
  • Experience working knowledge of Agile approaches at team level (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and knowledge of one or more scaling frameworks would be an advantage (LeSS, Nexus, SAFe, Scrum of Scrums)
  • Good knowledge of the Atlassian toolset, particularly Jira and Confluence.
