Our goal is to reduce CO2 emissions dramatically and ensure a sustainable world for future generations. We in New Product Master verify the WTG design and detailed manufacturing baseline package through virtual and physical early builds.

We create and maintain technical documentation on work processes across manufacturing. We do all this to contribute to operational readiness and to ensure safety, quality and sustainability in new products.

The tasks are cross-functional and require R&D knowledge as well as operational knowledge into Manufacturing. As a technical writer, you must have a good technical insight in how a wind turbine and its components work.

You will be a part of the team supplying the business with relevant production documentation as well as supporting the serial production in terms of NCR (none conformity request), case handling and engineering change handling.

Knowledge of how to efficiently convey information using illustrations is very important.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain production work instructions (PWI); Process Plans and Control Plans together with the technical specialists and process engineers

Deliver illustrations for documentation

Participate in on-site and factory tests and production activities for validation of technical publications (if possible)

Support for engineering change handling in the manufacturing

Ensure alignment, validation, and review process for documentation with relevant stakeholders

Ensure compliance with existing style guide and other task relevant guidelines

Ensure alignment with Vestas-specific terminology

Qualifications

A minimum 2 years of experience in the production industry

Solid communication skills

High level of all English language skills

Enthusiastic, motivated, interviewing, listening skills & work in a structured way

Work with no supervision, yet at the same time you are a solid team member

Take ownership of deliverables and knowledge of the wind turbine domain and specifically offshore, is a solid advantage

Competencies

Ability to write clearly and produce material that requires minimal editing

Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Good quality mindset (do it right the first time and every time)

Good knowledge of NCR and ECM (engineering change management) processes

Structured mindset

Good all-round technical insight

Understanding of manufacturing processes

Interviewing and listening skills

Well-developed graphical understanding

Good IT skills (Creo Illustrator, PDMLink, CATIA ; PhotoShop, SAP System)

Work and handle 2D and 3D drawings

Able to communicate efficiently at all business levels (from engineers to factory workers)

Cultural understanding (global interfaces to colleagues all over the world)
