The role

Research and Development (R&D) position to enable our next-generation intelligent platform with state of the art methods, apparatus and systems in a conversational search realm.

You will join a talented team of Data Scientists and Researchers working on the iFetch project in close partnership with 2 Portuguese Universities (Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Instituto Superior Técnico) and Carnegie Mellon University.

What you’ll do

Support a multidisciplinary team of Scientists in the design of model serving solutions and develop & deliver scalable machine learning applications;

Study, experiment, research and develop algorithms and techniques in the artificial intelligence field;

Partner with the Data Science team members and project coordinators in coming up with technical solutions and project execution plans;

Drive and foster the technological evolution of applications and contribute to its continuously improvement;

Be part of the process to collect important feedback from focus groups to allow corrective actions throughout the project;

Make scientific and technical publications in reference conferences and journals.

Who you are

Master degree in Computer Science or a similar field;

A professional with knowledge of popular machine learning practices, libraries, and platforms (e.g., PyTorch, Scikit-learn);

A professional with a good understanding of Convolutional Neural Networks, RNN and Attention Models;

Experienced in Big Data and Hadoop technologies like Spark, HDFS, and SparkSQL;

Eager to contribute to Query Processing techniques and Optimization, Storage Management : non-relational databases (e.

g., Cassandra, Big Query) and streaming platforms know-how (e.g., Kafka);

A professional who possesses excellent knowledge of the English language at a proficiency level (spoken and written).
