As our new Pet Vet Channel Products Manager, you will follow the corporate and Pet Business strategy and suggest ways for implementing the identified key messages for the pet products in the Vet channel.

You will position the relevant products in the Vet channel to achieve the performance objectives set for the Pet business and you will contribute to the growth of its products in compliance with ethics and legislation.

Furthermore, you will develop and enhance the image of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Portugal and create differentiation through innovation in terms of communication in the Pet Vet Channel.

You will be working from our office in Lisbon while reporting directly to the Pets Business Unit Head.

Further key responsibilities :

Provide analysis of the market environment and potential business opportunities utilizing insights from customer interactions, field force, market research, industry trends, competitive intelligence, and understanding of the therapeutic areas for each product.

Plan and implement actions and tools for the deployment of the strategy (adaptation, operational monitoring) in compliance with the positioning of the product and in connection with the defined multi-channel strategy

Develop the Pet Vet Channel approach to strengthen value-added interactions.

Identify the preferred communication channel for each vet and develop the right strategy for that channel, and thus contribute to the achievement of sales objectives

Coordinate and manage relevant opinion leader networks in relation to the past and future portfolio management

Collaborate with Pet Technical Field Manager in writing scientific articles and technical documents for pet customers and sales reps

Closely collaborate with the field sales team

Train sale force and support them in the deployment of their activity : Carry out the interface with Global Marketing / MIDI colleagues on the actions and measures taken / to be taken at the national level.

Create and closely monitor the demand and supply for predefined products

Participate in development of net sales budget, validate, and build monthly sales forecasts.

Perform all Company business in accordance with all regulations and Company policies and procedures. When violations are noted / observed they are to be immediately reported to senior management.

Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts.

What should you bring to the team?

You have a Degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, Life sciences or similar and at least 3 years of Marketing experience or at least 5 years of Sales experience within the Animal Health Pet sector

You are comfortable with online marketing and communication tools

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Fluent in Portuguese and strong knowledge of the English language

Excellent command of the market developments

Ability to prioritize, multitask and work both independently and be a team-player

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving attitude - ability to find innovative approach and solutions

Ability to closely collaborate in a team environment and work within a brand team

Ability to create close relationship with customers have great customer insights

Growth mindset eagerness to learn and develop in the position

Open, positive, collaborative, and dynamic personality

Valid Working permit for the European Union
