Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation :

It is our Departmental vision to implement and maintain a set of world class financial applications in order to secure our group-internal financial standards and to support and ensure high quality financial reporting and management processes at all levels of management throughout the entire adidas-Group.

Financial Master Data objects (e.g. Profit Center, Cost Center, Internal Order) in the SAP Controlling module are the foundation for internal and external financial reporting of the adidas Group.

The Financial Structures team provides the governance and maintenance of those objects following the Group Reporting requirements in all relevant SAP FI / CO Systems (e.

g. PEU, PGR) which enables and supports financial analysis and decision making. Relevant SAP CO specific month-end reporting tasks for the objects are governed for all SAP companies and for FSS companies also executed.

Further the respective processes to manage & maintain the objects are owned and constantly reviewed to ensure efficient processing of requests.

The position holder is providing guidance and service to the finance community in the area of financial master data in the SAP FI / CO area.

He / she is responsible for the appropriate handling of highly complex and non-standard requests for financial master data (e.

g. Profit Center, Cost Center, Internal Order) for all SAP AFS companies (>

100) and oversees the timely and complete setup of requested master data of a high volume of standard requests for financial master data.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Co-ordinate and support the request process related to SAP FI / CO master data (e.g. Profit Center, Cost Center and others).
  • Work on improvements of the existing processes in place and ensure that they are documented and followed from the team.

  • Maintain master data in the SAP FI / CO module and there in various SAP systems (Global Client, SAP Retail, Development Systems, Acceptance Systems and Productive Systems, BI Foundation for GRS) for highly complex and non-standard requests (e.
  • g. project- or special service requests) and provide guidance on tasks or methods on request of team members and by own judgment where needed

  • Is able to maintain, monitor and work with diverse tools, e.g. Bizagi, Transaction Shuttle
  • Is familiar and responsible for Month-End support for all FSS countries for Co- related month-end tasks such as Allocations, Distributions, Periodic Repostings, Accruals and Settlements.
  • Proactively ensure the quality of maintained master data by analyzing provided master data and structures and taking or initiating needed action for improvement (e.
  • g. initiate controls, adjust processes) with the overall goal to prevent significant costs that would arise in case of errors.

  • Share and clarify information regarding the setup of master data in SAP FI / CO and provide end user support for master data related queries and explain in detail procedures and processes to others.
  • Provide Training and share knowledge on SAP FI / CO master data set up within the team and to business partners.
  • Provide support in projects (e.g. preparation of financial master data for SAP FI / CO implementations, fold in projects).
  • Provide the project team insight and guidance into the structures of financial master data in SAP FI / CO.

  • Prepare complex presentations (e.g. explaining master data structures for projects) and trainings
  • Act as mentor to junior team members by giving guidance and sharing knowledge

  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :

  • University degree or Vocational Training with minimum of 3-4 years’ experience required
