About the team : Web Summit’s engineering org consists of several cross-functional teams working on tools and systems that help our attendees maximise their conference experience.
The focus of this DevOps role is on infrastructure, and on the processes around our release management and (automated) testing workflows.
What you’ll achieve at Web Summit :
You’ll integrate with the engineering teams and work side by side with engineers and product owners to improve release management infrastructure and processes.
You’ll work with the SRE teams to increase awareness of day-to-day issues for developers and inform a reliability roadmap.
You’ll work to consolidate and improve a testing strategy across all engineering teams.
You'll work closely with the product engineering team, understanding problems and where new processes and automations can improve workflows.
You'll create a DevOps culture of communication and support between product engineering and SREs.
Skills and abilities we’re looking for :
Ability to understand large, complex distributed systems with many interrelated moving parts.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with building and maintaining building pipelines (CI, CD).
Experience in automation and procedures to facilitate the release management cycle.
Experience working with a cloud provider (AWS preferred) for at least 4 years.
Knowledge of tooling such as Helm, CircleCI, Terraform, Github / Gitlab, Jenkins, etc.
Strong skills in at least one OOP language.
Experience in change management around engineering processes and culture.
Experience working with product owners or product managers.
