Our team is looking for a Data Scientist to join our dynamic and multicultural Global Business Services organization in Lisbon, assuming the following responsibilities :
Utilize appropriate data science methodologies toward attracting, hiring, developing, and retaining qualified talent;
Prepare and deliver presentations with rich data visualizations and meaningful business insights and conclusions;
Interpret statistical models that explain or predict outcomes related to hiring, productivity, engagement, and attrition;
Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to understand people-related business problems and gathering relevant people data to analyse;
Mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and supporting HR decision makers in the processes;
Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns;
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques;
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets;
Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences;
Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.
Bachelor’s in information management, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred;
Experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst for minimum of 2 years;
Experience in data mining and understanding of machine-learning (K-means, Naïve Bayes, etc);
Experience in text mining and understanding of sentiment & similarity analysis
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.
and experience with applications;
Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Java or C++ is an asset;
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, SAC and etc);
Analytical mind and business acumen;
Strong analytical skills and Problem-solving aptitude;
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Fluent English, both written and spoken (C1 level), German would be an asset.
