    As an Innovation Business Developer at VORTEX-CoLab, you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of researchers and engineers, supporting initiatives that will define the next generation of embedded and real-time systems that are highly connected, with massive processing power and performing complex applications.

    As a member of the team you will be the first point of contact with potential partners, clients, and responsible for developing sales in relevant markets and territories.

    How you can expect to fill your days :

  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities;
  • Identifying existing business opportunities in order to catalyze technology development and creation of ideas;
  • Defining a business development roadmap and spot growth opportunities for VORTEX’s innovation and Applied Research services;
  • Creating and nourish a robust competitive funding pipeline to boost participating in National and European funded programmes;
  • Thoroughly grasp customers’ needs, translating them into cohesive, creative quotes and proposals;
  • Forge and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, prospects and clients;
  • Validating market and technology information through primary research and contacting;
  • Develop excellent relationships with all of VORTEX’s associates to find new leads;
  • Communicate with the management team about market insights and feedback;
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition solutions;
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Perfil

    VORTEX-CoLab is looking for a self-driven Innovation Business Developer to fuel its growth, shape its Applied Research market strategy, and develop new and existing business relationships :

  • Master’s degree in Business or Engineering; we appreciate an affinity for or background in Applied Research;
  • 2+ yrs. of experience in business development, bid management or sales; experience in high-tech industries is an asset;
  • Experience in the preparation and elaboration of proposals under specific European funded programmes;
  • Establish Industry and Academic relationships with key players in R&D; experience working with mid-management to C-Level;
  • Proven track record of building successful international consortia and partnerships, bringing new perspectives to strategies and focusing on understanding how to leverage solution differentiators;
  • Ability to juggle multiple proposals / deals of different size & scope in a changing environment;
  • Sense of urgency, with ability to drive decisions and work under critical deadlines;
  • Leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilities;
  • Ability to quickly develop rapport, understand partner needs and deliver exceptional pitches; fluency in English is a must.
