As Finance Director, you will be the ultimate responsible for all financial and business development initiatives at Indie Campers.

Primarily, you will oversee guaranteeing the definition and translation of the overall strategy into key methodologies and processes across all departments, through a hands-

on, highly analytical approach. You will also be responsible for all accounting functions (accounts payable, treasury, payroll, etc.

financial planning and analysis, as well as monthly reporting (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and delivery of annual statutory accounts (including management of audit process).

Additionally, you’ll be a member of our executive management team and board of directors, taking a key role in the governance of the company and the strategic planning process.

Responsabilities :

Moreover, you’ll be expected to build and manage a long-term operational model to sustain our exponential growth, by means of :

  • Agile, accurate and reliable cross-functional models of revenue and cost prediction, attribution and control.
  • Alignment between marketing and sales information with Opex, Capex and cashflow strategies and plans.
  • Best-practices, processes and methodologies to assure accountability, controlling and ultimately high-performance of the organization.
  • Asset management and remarketing strategies and roadmaps around a new business model to be developed pertaining to the renewal and re-
  • selling of Indie Campers fleet.

  • Constitution and management of foreign subsidiaries across multiple geographies, including alignment and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Finally, you will be the ultimate responsible for all business development activities within the company both in terms of an M&A perspective, as well as a commercial standpoint -

    including establishing and maturing relationships with all key external stakeholders, ranging from OEMs, financial and commercial partners and other service providers.

    Financial Strategy : Build a financial strategy and identify opportunities to leverage our assets (market position, capabilities, brand) as well as to improve the efficiency of our capital (variable costs, operating expenses / SG&A) as we scale across additional geographies and other growth areas.

    Assist in evolving the business and financial models around both the core activities (e.g. rental business) and secondary activities (e.g. fleet management).

    Financial Operations : Structure the financial department, designing the key methodologies, processes and controls from the ground up.

    Drive the company’s quarterly and annual budgeting processes and ensure consistent monthly, quarterly, and annual communication of results and rolling forecasts to the rest of the executive management team and board members.

    Partner closely with our Controller and Finance Operations team to ensure the fidelity and accuracy of our financial reporting and analysis.

    Corporate Strategy : Support the company’s annual and quarterly strategic planning process. Take part of the executive management team, guiding the overall direction of the company and reporting developments directly to the board of directors.

    Corporate Development : Work closely with our business development team in addressing a wide range of business opportunities, including M&A, fundraising, investments and other strategic options.

    Participate in the full cycle of corporate development : from identifying potential deals, to leading due diligence efforts, negotiating with key stakeholders and managing potential integrations with pre-

    existing business functions.


  • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with Big-4 or investment banking background (3 4 years), then experience in a key role in the financial department at a large corporate (2 3 years), later having transitioned to a FD role in a fast-
  • growing entrepreneurial company (3 4 years).

  • Experience in the consumer internet, technology, or travel industries, including 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience scaling, structuring and controlling international operations in a high growth company, ideally in the auto and / or tech sectors.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Highly analytical, quantitative, systematic, organized and with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding at solving complex problems that require logical reasoning and good intuition.
  • Self-starter with ability to take on tasks independently and great team-player.
  • Able to work in a highly dynamic and international environment.
  • Perfectly fluent in English (both written and verbal). Knowledge of German and / or Portuguese a strong plus.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator, able to distill complex analyses down to the key points.
