Power Dot is one of the fastest growing operators of charging points for electric vehicles in Europe.


Power Dot invests, installs and operates EV chargers with an innovative business model akin to an Infra and Tech scale-up play. We believe the old petrol fuelling experience does not make a lot of sense, and as such we have embarked on the journey to redesign the EV charging experience with the end user at the centre of it.   


With just over two years of operation, we have invested in hundreds of different locations and are now operating a diverse portfolio of shopping malls, large retailers, restaurants, business centres and municipalities, across Portugal, France, Belgium, Spain, Poland and Luxembourg. In the future, Power Dot aims to be a European reference player in the development of the various verticals and modes of electric mobility (i.e. land, sea and air transport).


This is a unique opportunity to join a very fast-growing company with an equally fast-growing team. Our team is composed of young well-rounded and diverse individuals with backgrounds ranging from McKinsey & Co., UBS Investment Bank, Oliver Wyman or Burger King, to people who were responsible for the launch and scale-up of start-ups Uber, Glovo and Lime. We are backed by an international diversified investor base and have a robust balance sheet to invest in the growing electric mobility sector across Europe.


As the number of partnership clients and EV users we serve continues to grow exponentially every day, we are looking for a strong, energetic and creative individual to lead the next generation of the Power Dot brand’s design, message and reach. 




This role is the rare opportunity to shape the brand of one of the leading and fastest-growing EV charging start-ups in Europe. The Head of Design & Content will lead all the creative content for the brand, from concept to creation - including the development of creative concepts, production, delivery and implementation of assets, for all our channels. As we look to establish new partnerships and thousands of EV users charge their batteries at our sites daily, we want to stand out from competitors through our strong mission, elevated design and high quality content.


Apart from generating exceptional creative outputs to enhance the end user experience, this role will also have the responsibility of being the brand guardian, ensuring consistency and on-strategy execution for every campaign, ad, landing page, client presentation, website, etc.


Your overarching goal is to make Power Dot the preferred choice and most recommended brand by retailers in Europe.

The Head of Design & Content will report directly to the CEO. She/He will have a dynamic day-to-day life characterized by a multiplicity of functions of the greatest importance at the HQ level:


  • Redesign the spaces where EV users charge their vehicles by making them more user friendly and integrated with the retail experience 
  • Establish the brand “tone of voice” and develop all marketing copy
  • Define the brand’s visual identity and guidelines – a modern and beautiful design is at the centre of everything we do
  • Generate multiple concepts for campaigns / projects, that are aligned with the overall business objectives, brand direction and consider local market nuisances are represented whenever relevant; to be presented to the CEO and Country GMs, for alignment on a final concept 
  • Develop the final artworks and assets for offline and online channels
  • Design disruptive and progressive content that delivers on our brand strategy and ambitions, for all touch points
  • Develop together with our agencies 360 marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Create a media plan and take the lead on all our PR initiatives
  • Ad-hoc marketing projects with external partners


The Candidate


The Candidate must have professional experience between 3 to 5 years, preferably with a background in creative or advertising agencies, with a track record in brand design and content creation, in fast paced environments. 


A strong working knowledge of experiential design, copywriting, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process is a must. The Candidate must also have print and digital design capabilities. 


The Candidate must master the key design softwares to develop high quality artworks and content effectively: Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Keynote are required.


The Candidate must have an interest and enthusiasm in the area of ​​electric mobility and, although not fundamental, experiences in the area or in a related area are highly valued.


The Candidate must be fluent in both oral and written English in order to be able to prepare business documents and conduct meetings in this language. Other languages are a plus.


The Candidate must be based in Lisbon or willing/looking to relocate to Lisbon. Given the nature of the role, the Candidate must be available to periodically travel across Europe.
