Payroll Specialist (Multi-Country) - Lisbon
Adecco Recruitment is looking for a Payroll Specialist (Multi-country) to join a multinational company in the health sector, based in Lisbon.
What you will do :
Overall responsibility for payroll processing across multiple countries, coordinating in-country payroll processors where they exist;
Designs, maintains and improves payroll execution at the level of systems, collection, calculation and entering of data;
Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes;
Supports employee queries relating to payroll;
Liaises closely with 3rd party payroll providers, 'in country' payroll teams and centralised support teams to ensure the best solutions;
Designs and prepares reports to support the business;
Manages relationships with stakeholders (e.g. payroll COE, Finance, HR, 3rd Party payroll providers and employees);
Ensures compliance with local legislation (e.g. tax, social security);
Supports required reconciliations with the Finance Team, the maintenance of audit procedures and control reports;
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements;
Maintains employee confidence and and ensures confidentiality of payroll operations.
From 3 to 5 years of experience in Payroll, preferably across multiple countries;
Solid understanding of the principles of labour legislation;
Experience using Workday (advantage) and Excel;
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, problem solving and process improvement;
Excellent communication skills;
Experience of working closely with third party payroll provider model such as ADP, Safeguard or TMF (advantage);
Fluent English (mandatory).
