The Compliance Function is a second level control function at the BNP Paribas Group. It is integrated hierarchically and includes all compliance teams of the BNP Paribas Group.

The Compliance function gives a reasonable assurance to senior management that all compliance risks (regulatory sanctions or loss ofto reputation a bank may suffer as a result of its failure to comply with applicable laws) are adequately monitored, controlled and mitigated.

It also ensures that the Group respects, not only external laws and regulations, but also internal ones, given that these are continuously evolving.

As a Compliance Permanent control officer, you will join the permanent control community, being part of Compliance Control & Risk management central team (Central CCRM) and you will assist the team Day-to-day management of the function’s risk in all OPC tasks.

OPC Compliance Officer is a permanent position based in Lisbon, reporting hierarchically to the Compliance Hub OPC Coordinator, in Lisbon and, functionally, to the Head of Day-to-day management of the function’s risk, within Central CCRM team, in Paris.

In close collaboration with the team in Paris, you will be in charge of managing the operational risks for Compliance COO and Compliance OPTI, two main transversal departments within Compliance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitoring and reporting the operational risks borne by OPTI (Process Leaders in charge of overseeing and monitoring main Compliance end-to-end processes and tools, Chief Data Office and OPR), and COO (Finance, Procurement, Business Continuity activity and Cyber Security) perimeters :

Perform and report controls on OPTI perimeter (mostly Generic Control Plans issued by ITG, but also specific controls defined with the OPTI Process Leaders when needed)

Support COO teams in defining the requested 1LoD controls (GCPs issued by other functions), consolidate the results and report them

Assess the risks for OPTI and COO perimeters (i.e. performing RCSA), in close collaboration with operational teams

Declare and ensure the follow-up of Historical Incidents for both perimeters

Coordinate and ensure the contributions to the OR&C report and contribution to the ICCs and Permanent Control committees for both perimeters

Ensure procedure management tasks for COO perimeter only : communication and monitoring of procedures (applicable to or drafted by) COO teams (excl.

Compliance permanent control related procedures, managed by Permanent Control Framework team within Central CCRM

PROFILE

Work experience : 5 years minimum in the financial sector, Risk / Audit and or Permanent Control

Area of studies : Engineering / IT / Management

Fluency in English and French Mandatory

Appetences for IT tools and Cyber security topics

Compliance tools and MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) knowledge

Compliance knowledge and appetence would be a plus

Ability to collaborate and good team work

Organizational skills

Ability to meet strict targets and ability to work under pressure

Assertiveness, analytical skills and ability to synthetize

Quick learner and proactive approach

Capacity to adapt to various players (in term of responsibilities and level of seniority)
