Role Purpose
A senior leadership role within Vantage Towers (VT) PT management team, the Head of Infrastructure (HoI) owns the full accountability for the local production along with the operations & maintenance (O&M) of the existing VT portfolio.
The HoI will work directly with the local Managing Director (MD) at defining the optimal deployment strategy (products, process, people and partners) thereby ensuring the achievement of the relevant business targets set by the organization.
Finally, the HoI will support the MD and the business driving any transformational activity that may be required to fulfil VT ambition to be one of the key players at the forefront of European Digital Transition.
Job Responsibility
Deployment strategy definition to maximize synergies across infrastructure functions thereby ensuring delivery in line with customers’ expectations
Deployment suppliers’ selection (Technical Requirements Specifications (TRS), RFQ and commercial negotiation) and operationalization
Full end-to-end deployment accountability for Built-To-Suit (BTS) sites and existing sites upgrades, e.g. due to 5G requirements
Field Level Maintenance (FLM) management and operational SLAs fulfilment accountability
Production cost control and optimization in line with Opex targets
Development and implementation of production enhancement tools in line with VT Group strategy
Productization and implementation of new local and central products entering VT portfolio.
Ideal Background
University and Master’s degree in Engineering
Business education, though not mandatory, as a plus
10+ years’ experience in similar roles
Proven track record of large-scale programs & field deployment successful delivery
Direct work experience in an international context
5+ years’ experience in people management roles
Fluent in spoken and written Portuguese and Business English
Extensive TelCo infrastructure knowledge and field deployment experience
Thorough understanding of O&M
Good knowledge of radio technologies as a plus
Advanced negotiation skills and effective suppliers’ management
Technology / infrastructure strategic thinking and strong analytical skills
Effective communicator able to lead and inspire the direct team and the whole organization
At ease communicating and working with executives and the business.
