Main Purpose of the Job

  • Develop key account management by fostering Roche's image as a strategic partner
  • Work across the two Business Areas to ensure success in future tenders
  • Strengthen Roche's positioning in future core lab tenders on key accounts
  • Contribute actively to the development of the market in the logic of value in healthcare for the sustainability of business and health systems
  • Tasks and Responsibilities

    Commercial acumen

  • Promote relationships of trust and ensure easy access to Boards of Directors, Area Directorates, Area Directorates Procurement and Laboratory Management Maintain long-
  • term relationships and trust with KOLs

  • Possess and be able to transmit comprehensive and holistic knowledge about Roche's portfolio, including digital solutions to its target audience, namely hospital administration and service directors of strategic departments;
  • Work with Customer Managers to strengthen Roche's positioning in future core lab tenders on respective key accounts
  • Keep up to date with the evolution of Roche's portfolio and market developments (namely on health policies, IVD market dynamics, new business models, Digital Health
  • Contribute to the construction of Customer Partnership Plans and integrate internal squads that relate to continuous improvement processes within key accounts
  • Be responsible for achieving results (sales and profitability) in the key customers assigned to it
  • Accompany and support the Customers Managers in the Key Accounts Public Procurement process under their responsibility and corroborate the closing conditions of these same competitions
  • Position RDP as a relevant and reliable partner

  • Take initiative, seek approval and secure implementation of strategic collaborations with key Accounts
  • Promote and streamline the articulation between the Commercial and Access & Innovation teams to build strategic activities in key accounts
  • Promote and streamline the relationship with the Pharmaceutical Division sales functions that work with the Hospital C Suite in order to strengthen Roche's image in key accounts and, where possible, present One Roche solutions

  • Required Qualification : Educational Background :

    Educational Background :

    Bachelor or Master’s degree in Economics, Management, Marketing, Life Sciences or Engineering.

    Work Experience :

    Solid experience in Marketing and Sales focused in private healthcare

    Being creative and innovative when contributing to organizational and individual objectives

    Providing services that consistently meet or exceed the needs and expectations of customers and colleagues

    Functional Competencie’s :

    Thorough understanding of Portuguese healthcare, its structure and political landscape namely on health policiy, IVD market dynamics, new business models and Digital Health

    Master Roche DIA’s portfolio, particularly in areas of disruptive innovation (such as laboratory workflow, digital solutions and high medical value products) and strategic consulting

    Good understanding of, and experience from, the diagnostics business, preferably with experience from Roche

    Thorough understanding of healthcare development needs (inc. financial, organizational and medical) and ability to build trustful, long term relations with customers and develop Roche image as a strategic partner

    Comprehensive knowledge of Roche Group overall positioning and strategic drivers

    Strong internal relationship building capacity

    Leadership and change management skills

    Strong communication and presentation skills

    Great negotiation capacity in complex processes

    Good knowledge of English, comparable to First Certificate
