Main responsibilities include :
As a member of the Corporate Application Engineer (CAE) team in the Solution Groups at Synopsys, you will be responsible for the technical support of worldwide customer using Synopsys IP Prototyping Kits.
The support scope includes but not limited to Synopsys DesignWare Interface IP cores, FPGA, Processor and Software
You will be interfacing with our Prototyping team to report on any issues related to the Prototyping Kits design, package, deliverables, reliability, maintenance and / or defects
You will be involved in customer installation, training, technical consultation and on-site supporting
You will have the capability to design and implement solutions to complex applications problems independently with little guidance
You will be authoring application-notes and / or white-papers that promote the IP Prototyping Kits ease of use, or address specific challenges in its usage / implementation
You may be called upon to author technical papers and present them in peer-reviewed technical publications or conferences
You will have regular contact with external customers and internal contacts across cross-functional teams
As a worldwide organization there is sometimes short term travel required
B.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering as a minimum or equivalent experience
5+ Years of experience designing ASICs and / or FPGAs in an industrial environment is required
FPGA / ASIC design and verification skills : Architecture, Specification, Verilog Coding, Timing Analysis and Verification Methodologies
Strong knowledge in FPGA development flow (XILINX preferred) and related tools
Knowledge in System Verilog test environments, UVM or VMM experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of AMBA Bus interconnects and embedded systems architecture
Knowledge of PCI Express, USB, HDMI or similar interfaces would be advantageous
Good knowledge of Linux, Perl and TCL scripting
Basic knowledge of C / C++ programming language would be advantageous
Basic knowledge of Linux OS Kernel would be advantageous
Excellent problem solving skills and hardware / software debug skills
Excellent English communication skills
Capability to produce high quality technical documentation
Willingness to learn new things
Capability to work as part of a worldwide team with remote sites and promote excellent working relationships
