Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Supply Chain and Procurement Manager reporting to the VP of Global Supply Chain, based at our Headquarters in Cascais, Portugal.
This role is responsible for the non-production category spend and execution of strategy, working cross-functionally with the category team to achieve best overall value for Logoplaste.
The role may include as well in future leadership over a purchasing team.
Responsible for the day to day procurement activities to ensure cost effective sourcing of goods channeled to the right suppliers in order to meet the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Liaise with business stakeholders to determine purchasing needs / demand
Oversee the competitive bid process
Build and maintain category plan in particular in the following areas (list is not exclusive and might vary) :
Rentals and lease agreements
Employee Benefits Company Car Fleets
Equipment spare parts
Gather and validate facts to inform category plan, including spend map, demand data, cost drivers
Formulate strategy recommendations for endorsement by the leadership, and execute strategy
Implement procurement best practice and seek opportunities to improve leverage
Track and update progress using KPIs
Receive and analyze quotations on services and lease agreements
Co-ordinate and execute complex purchasing transactions
Source and manage suppliers to meet the criteria of price, quality, availability
Manage stakeholder communications & relationships
Interface with other departments to help promote compliance and interpret purchasing procedures
Review contract negotiations
Prepare and issue RFQ bids
Communicate forecasts and POS to suppliers
Knowledge Base & Skills
Good understanding of manufacturing related non-production spend categories globally
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to influence, coach, and build strong relationships and foster effective communication with the leadership team
A strong results orientation leveraging advanced business acumen / strategic orientation
A strong understanding of economic drivers, EBITDA, and cash flow
Creative and innovative : Recognizes opportunities for change, creates innovative solutions
A strategic thinker who can apply their thoughts in a pragmatic manner
Experience in negotiations at contract level
Qualifications & Career Experience
5-10 years’ experience in senior role
Manufacturing and / or automotive background
Educated to degree level
