JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to our continuous growth, the central manufacturing IT team is looking for an IT MES analyst (Manufacturing Execution System) to support the roll-out and support of the MES IT Tires solution in the manufacturing area of Continental Tires plants.

The following responsibilities are :

  • Support the implementation of digitalization during the roll-out activities in the plants world-wide (e.g. Tiger Project);
  • Responsible for installation, configuration and commissioning of the MES (Manufacturing Execution System);
  • Execute integration tests and work together with other departments on business acceptance tests;
  • Provide training to local key users, local IT and engineering employees;
  • Responsible for 2nd level IT remote support for productive MES applications, consult and execute measures to improve the stability and reliability of the overall solution;
  • Consult the business departments in optimization and optimal use of the standard solution provided.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Automation, IT Computer Science or similar field;
  • Advanced knowledge in database technologies (SQL, MS SQL);
  • Implementation experience with IT systems / manufacturing systems is preferred;
  • Design & programming skills (C#) and knowledge in OPC / PLC technology is preferred;
  • Basic knowledge of IT service management (ITIL);
  • Written and spoken English skills;
  • Analytical and problem-solving thinking skills;
  • Independent and solution-oriented mindset;
  • Strong customer service orientation;
  • Communication skills;
  • Teamwork and intercultural competence;
  • High level of commitment;
  • Resilience and flexibility;
  • Availability to travel worldwide (50%) during the first years.
