Ocean Infinity is seeking a a Junior Project Manager to join the Software Project Management Team. This role will work alongside the other project managers ensuring the quality of the project from planning to closure and working with development teams to gather information and produce the necessary documentation for Portuguese grants projects.

The role is responsible for managing the overall execution of Software Projects, overseeing the development of budget, schedule, and reporting.

Reporting to the PMO Lead and together ensuring that the project management processes are adjusted as needed.

Description and Main Purpose of the Job

What will you do :

Contribute to the success of the projects by being able to use your experience in project management, working with the team and solving tasks;

Provide a clear timeline and progress of the project, making clear all deliveries, dependencies and milestones, and responsibilities, while promoting communication, anticipating roadblocks and escalating when needed;

Prepare and maintain updated all project documentation and manage change requests;

Assure that the project benefits agreed in the early stages will be successfully delivered;

Financially responsible for the project. Ensure the best use between costs and earnings in the project;

Ensure that project management processes are being adhered to and updated if necessary.

Who you are :

Degree in Information Technology or similar;

1+ years of experience as a Project Management;

Excellent knowledge of Project Manager Methodologies;

Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English B1 minimum);

Ability to work effectively and manage deadlines;

Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities;

Customer relationship oriented;

Ability to report on project progress;

Organized with attention to detail;

Proactive, a problem solver;

Focus on innovation, autonomy, and team-oriented spirit.

Interested in the others and strives for the best for the team;

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;

Strong interpersonal and people management skills;

Strong communication skills;

Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;

Open and receptive to new and different ideas;

Ability to work well in a team and independently;

Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet.

Desirable :

Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2);

Experience with H2020 and P2020 projects;

Exposure to more than one software development approaches / methodologies (e.g. Agile, Iterative, Waterfall).
