We are currently looking for a QEHS Manager Portugal, based at our office in Amadora.
The QEHS Manager Portugal, reports to the Distribution Quality Director EMEA APAC and has overall responsibility for implementation, maintenance and improvement of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 quality, environmental and health & safety management systems on the Amadora, Portugal site, and the ISO 17025 accredited quality management system also.
What you'll do on a typical day :
Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain an operational plan to drive the Company’s Quality and EHS Management Systems and Policies to compliance with ISO 9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001 / ISO17025 management system requirements.
Set up and maintain controls and documented procedures including defining and agreeing operating procedures in conjunction with relevant operational leaders.
Identify relevant QEHS related training needs and deliver training.
Document compliance with EHS legislation.
Implement and maintain an internal audit plan, coordinate, and perform audits based on the internal audit plan.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions relating to internal audit findings and customer complaints are completed and effectiveness evaluated.
Manage resolution of customer complaints including liaising with customers and suppliers for completion of SCAR reports, creation, and management of CAPA as required.
Liaise with customers’ auditors and ensure the execution of corrective actions and compliance with customers’ needs.
Liaise with certification body and accreditation auditors and ensure the execution of corrective actions and compliance.
Coordinate recall actions for the local organization and provide field action feedback to European Field Action team.
Implement and maintain a program for auditing of suppliers to accredited calibration.
Organize and supervise the qualification and certification of personnel, production resources, processes, and suppliers for accredited calibration services.
Coordinate response to customer questionnaires, quality agreements and specifications.
Perform routine GEMBA walks for EHS within the Portugal organization.
Maintain, collate and analyze QEHS performance data and metrics against defined parameters, including KPI’s and Tiered Daily Management system.
Promote QEHS achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned locally or additionally from Europe.
Required Qualifications :
Degree in chemistry, applied science, or engineering field.
Experience in managing ISO 9001 quality management system.
Experience in EHS Management and EHS Management Systems.
Knowledge of ISO 17025 Calibration / Testing quality systems
Fluent in Portuguese with good written and oral communication skills in English.
