Job description

As the Manager of Customer and Logistics Services, you will lead an operational team of 10 people responsible for Logistics, Customs, Route Office, and Customer Management services.

In addition, you will ensure operational excellence, high productivity, customer satisfaction, and people development.

In your new role you will :

  • Be responsible for the operational delivery of services , ensuring the highest quality, accuracy, and general compliance with established processes;
  • Ensure key performance indicators are met , review metrics, communicate outputs, and align improvement actions;
  • Liaise with Logistics and Customer Management stakeholders on leadership, operations, process excellence, and delivery excellence;
  • Ensure timely and adequate reporting of actions towards local management and senior functional management;
  • Be responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, and motivating team members;
  • Evaluate the performance of the team on a regular basis in collaboration with the functional manager ensuring appropriate feedback ;
  • Assist day-to-day operations , ensuring adequate work distribution within the team;
  • Identify, propose and lead continuous improvement, harmonization, and transition projects to drive quality and productivity;
  • Ensure the completeness of service catalog and process manuals and maintain the intranet pages up to date.

    Moreover, you lead by example and create a respectful, trustworthy, and motivating work environment.

    You are best equipped for this role if you have :

  • A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar field of studies;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Shared Services environment ;
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience , preferably in a functionally diverse setting;
  • Knowledge of logistics or operations in a global environment is highly preferred;
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office , especially Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Fluency in English knowledge of German is a plus.
