This position is for Comscore Shareablee Team (https : / / shareablee.com, https : / / shareablee.github.io). At Shareablee we develop high quality data analytics tool and great UI so users can find answers to very specific questions across terabytes of analytical datasets.
Requirements :
experience in writing Clojure or Java code (functional way)
comfortable with using Linux
want to learn and write in Clojure (JVM based functional language)
be interested in functional programming approach
know good practices and standards
have hands-on approach / be proactive
understand API communication patterns
understanding of micro-services architecture in data processing pipelines
Day to day work :
develop processing pipeline for data analytics
solving interesting big-data puzzle-problems (how to store big data to make it queryable, design layouts for various databases, solve token management problems for accessing shared resources)
interact with terabyte scale databases like Druid.io, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Kafka
interact and develop applications using microservice approach
design distributed apps using Kafka, Airflow, Kubernetes, Spark, AWS
design proposals to optimize the system, make it more effective and cost efficient
put your own ideas into real world products (we are still small team and everybody contribution is essential and welcomed!)
write quality code - yes, shipping is most important, but at the end it's your name on it, let's make it right way
write internal projects (to support our development and daily operations, on of that is quite advanced and highly specific monitoring for our data collection pipelines)
